JOHN C. REILLY IS MISTER ROMANTIC

EGOT-nominated actor, comedian, producer, and musician John C. Reilly’s career spans independent cinema, massive studio comedies, Broadway, and more. Known for his versatility, his credits include Talladega Nights, Magnolia, Step Brothers, Chicago, Guardians of the Galaxy, A Streetcar Named Desire, and more. On November 20, Reilly is bringing his critically-acclaimed vaudeville project Mister Romantic to The Town Hall, presented by LPR. Reilly looked at the weary world and fractured cultural landscape around us and tried to think of a way he could spread love and empathy, bringing joy and fun to people's lives in a time of uncertainty and darkness. Enter Mister Romantic, an intimate, band-backed vaudeville stage show praised for its sincerity, humor, and emotional depth. As a showcase of Reilly’s musical instincts, dramatic range, and comedic mastery, the show was born out of both hope and despair. About the project, Reilly explains, “Someone once said ‘It’s better to light one tiny candle than to curse the darkness.’ Well, this is our little candle in the darkness. We hope it reminds people that it’s good to love. I figured it was worth a try.” The show is in support of Reilly’s debut companion album What’s Not To Love?, a collection of songs that traces the journey of radical optimism, earnestness, and theatricality.
